Fishing Club

KAUST is home to a thriving bird population. Since KAUST opened, records of birds sighted have been made on a regular basis, and over 250 different bird species have been recorded. TheĀ Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) DepartmentĀ has been leading efforts across KAUST to catalog such vital records and biodiversity in general. Community science have been always a key pillar on these records and birding club has played a big role to these efforts.

Fishing on KAUST Campus

On campus, there are a few designated fishing areas, that can be found in the map as shown below. KAUST Saltwater Anglers are working with HSE to open even more water on campus for fishing and other aquatic activities. Note that, except for the areas marked in red on the map below, all fishing on campus is catch and release.

A catch and release policy helps maintain the biodiversity and the quality of the fishing on campus so that this amazing resource can be enjoyed by future KAUST community members.
